Registered nurses in the US are facing a shortage of respirator masks to protect them from contracting the H1N1 influenza virus which has been slammed as unacceptable by the American Nurses Association (ANA).
The ANA wrote to the US Centers for Disease Control (CDO expressing deep concerns over the shortage of fitted N-95 respirators, the equipment recommended by the CDC as the minimum level of respiratory protection for health care workers who could be exposed to the H1N1 virus.
