QLD:Swan urges men to have prostate check

Treasurer WAYNE SWAN'S urged ageing men to get over any hang-ups about their sex lives
and get checked for prostate cancer as soon as possible.

Mr SWAN, who was treated for prostate cancer a decade ago, says anyone over 50 is at
risk of having prostate cancer and the odds increase if there's a history of the disease
in the family.

He says When it comes to prostate cancer men have a fear about their sex lives, but
being alive is the most important thing.
