NSW: Anderson not worried about Nats interest in One Nation

National Party leader JOHN ANDERSON has denied overtures by some Queensland National
Party members to PAULINE HANSON are undermining his authority.

Ms HANSON -- speaking on Channel Seven earlier -- said One Nation's impact in the West
Australian election had sparked interest from a number of Queensland National Party MPs.

She said One Nation had been contacted by some Queensland Nationals who were not prepared
to swap preferences with the party last week.

She says they are prepared to swap preferences now -- following the WA results -- and
named federal Queensland National DE-ANNE KELLY as just one who rang.

Mr ANDERSON says the National Party does not exercise absolute control over who its
members speak with.

He says he'll be spending the day with Ms KELLY on Wednesday but declined to comment
on whether the One Nation preference issue will be raised.

And he says the West Australian election was fought on state issues.
