NSW: Worker killed by apparent container explosion

SYDNEY, Jan 15 AAP - A worker was killed when explosive vapours inside a shipping containerignited at a storage plant in Sydney's south-west today, police said.
Workplace safety and union officials are continuing investigations into the death ofthe man at the Carnarvon Street site in Silverwater's industrial zone.
Emergency services were called about 9.30am (AEDT) but the worker was already deadby the time rescue crews arrived, a NSW Police spokeswoman said.
