WA: Rottweiler attacks owner

PERTH, Dec 29 AAP - A man has been attacked by a rottweiler in the backyard of his Perth home.

The man suffered injuries to an artery in his arm while trying to break up a fight
between two dogs last night in the back yard of his Sloan St home in Rockingham, south
of Perth.

Ambulance officer Austin Whiteside said the man, aged in his 40s, was taken to Rockingham
Hospital but the injuries were not life-threatening.

The incident happened at about 9pm (WDT) yesterday and the man was expected to undergo surgery.
