Fed: Interest rate rise unlikely by year's end: Westpac boss

Westpac boss GAIL KELLY says another interest rate rise before the end of the year is unlikely.

She says mortgage customers can expect rates to hold firm.

Ms KELLY says the major Australian banks have a strong and diverse source of funding
.. and are not involved in sub-prime lending.
