Qld: Court appearance for mother of rescued children

BRISBANE, Dec 31 AAP - A woman will face court after four children, including a 14-week-old
baby, were found alone in a sweltering campsite west of Brisbane.

The children were taken to Ipswich General Hospital, where the baby was believed to
be on a saline drip after suffering heat stress.

Police say the children, the eldest aged 14 years, were discovered in the tent at a
camping ground at Savage Crossing, near Fernvale at 12.30pm (AEST) yesterday.

The children are currently in the care of the Department of Child Safety, police said.

A 31-year-old Durack woman was issued with a Notice to Appear in Ipswich Magistrates
Court on January 16 for endangerment of a child under seven years.
